Kids Play International

After traveling for so many years and seeing so many people much less fortunate than you and I, I felt compelled to do something to help through the medium I know best – sports.  Kids Play International was founded by a fellow Olympian and with the mission of “using sport as a catalyst to promote gender equity in communities impacted by genocide,” Kids Play International is a vehicle that allows me a hands-on way to share the Olympic values of excellence, friendship and fair play to those less fortunate children in Rwanda and Cambodia.

Charity Water

I fell in love with Charity Water and their mission to “bring clean and safe drinking water to every person in the world” when I learned of how cost-effective, permanent and impactful their solution is to contaminated drinking water. Through these simple solutions like freshwater wells, rainwater catchments and sand filters, Charity Water aims to provide clean water to the 800 million people in the world without. 100% of their public donations go to fund clean water projects so I’m proud to partner with them on various fundraising efforts.

Breast Cancer Awareness/Research

Breast Cancer research and awareness is a cause very dear to my heart.  My mom battled breast cancer from the time I was in elementary school until I was a Sophomore in college when it finally took her life.  In her memory and in honor of her battle, I am committed to doing everything I can to help combat this disease.
