Cleansing.

I got through my first juice cleanse of the month yesterday! Only these six bottles of cold pressed juices, plus tea and water passed through my stomach all day…breakfast this morning never tasted so good!

I feel refreshed though, like all the bloating from bad food over the holidays is gone- notice I didn’t say weight! I lost probably 10 lbs of water weight doing the cleanse and I know that’s all going to come back, but it’s the healing process and mental component that I love about cleanses. It’s mentally very tough, yes food is obviously necessary, but you learn to control your thoughts about hunger a little better and notice how compulsive those thoughts are, you realize the feelings of hunger pains won’t kill you. I also know I’m working toward my goal of a healthier 2013 when I treat my insides to all the wonderful properties in the cleanse juices.  And accomplishing the cleanse makes it all the more compelling to eat healthier afterwards- no way I’m letting all that hard work go to waste!

So if you are interested in giving yourself a jumpstart to a healthier week, month, and year, I recommend trying one! You can order it from a company, I did the Ritual Wellness Cleanse (www.ritualcleanse.com), or you can look up recipes online and make the juices yourself if you have a juicer.

Good luck!!!
